Did you get a chance to watch the first episode of Love It Or List It: Vancouver? We tried our best to tell everyone we knew about it, but busy schedules can make it tough to put aside time for the TV.

So why are we suddenly so interested in reality television? Well, it’s local for one thing. Vancouver is such a beautiful spot that we were surprised it took this long to have a realty based reality show in our backyard.

The other big reason for the Love it Or List it love, is that the list of providers for the show happens to have our name right at the very top of the it! (Fringe benefits of starting our name with an A)

The premise of the show is to take a home that isn’t fitting the family as much anymore, and renovate it with a given budget while the shows Real Estate Agent finds homes that check all the boxes on a list of needs and wants.

In this episode, we got to play a part (off screen, thank heavens) in building a new garage detached from the home.

The roofing looks great, but have a look at the skylight from the inside. The natural light makes a really nice feature for a home office.

One of the best results from the renovation effort came in monetary form. Their home was valued $100,000 higher after the reno. (That’s a $25,000 profit)
